Seas & Greetings: Christmas in Edgartown

Martha’s Vineyard is a photographic paradise, and just a two hour car ride from the Greater Boston area. When my family and I travelled down for Christmas in Edgartown, we were instantly taken by the coastal decor and New England charms that Edgartown boasted.

While we rented a house in the woods, we were charmed by the scenic view from the Harborview Hotel; which included an exclusive look at the lighthouse lighting. People mingled closely in the large, twinkly archway of the hotel that overlooked that sea at night, waiting patiently for the lighthouse to be lit. The countdown was truly magical, and you can see a full recap on my Instagram highlights (still live 12/17). We established a morning routine over the next three days; a morning coffee at Rosewater, wandering the cute cobblestone streets, and even waving to santa from a jeep at the Christmas parade.

While we spent a magical time exploring Edgartown, we didn’t have much time to see the rest of the Vineyard. This is something I definitely will be back to see! Here are our picks from our stay in Edgartown.
