Granny Square Sweater Tutorial
There’s nothing like the vintage colors of a granny sweater. I’ve been wanting to create something with a crochet granny square blanket for quite some time. Something about how magically the yarns were woven together makes my DIY hear swoon.
While this combination is definitely bright, many blankets at the local thrift have a variety of colors. I used a thrifted blanket for the sake of time. However, if you are extra crafty and want a custom color set you can definitely create your own granny squares.
Now that my sweater is complete, I must admit it is very warm! I’m excited to wear it was a cup of tea on a cold winter day.
The hardest part of this DIY was actually figuring out how to shoot it. I mean, there didn’t seem to be the right place to take its photo. Being so colorful, it wasn’t fit for many of my typical scenes. However, my kitchen where I hung removable wallpaper was the perfect location. I don’t know how I overlooked it. If you are looking for an amazing way to update your apartment or space removable wallpaper is the way to go (post linked here).

Before you connect, your blanket will look like this. you are basically removing the outer corners of the blanket and then flipping it in on itself. Because I didn’t take a stunning photo of my granny square blanket, I drew this diagram for you instead.
