Five Cozy New England Destinations to Visit this Winter
It is no secret that New England knows how to make winter cozy. No stranger to blustery winds, ice storms and a winter weather systems fondly named Nor’Easters, this region’s charm curates silver linings. From skiing to apres, there is really something for any type of vacationer. There are a few places that stand above the rest. This list of airbnbs and hotels will dull the cabin fever you may be feeling as you turn the pages of your calendar.

This a-frame tucked in the rural Vermont woods is just what the doctor ordered for your off-the-grid vacation. You’ll the high ceilings, the rural location, the coziness and its sense of place in nature. Complete with a gas fireplace, this cozy abode is a great place for couples and solo adventurers. The perfect place for a cheese board, a glass of wine and a Christmas movie marathon on the couch.

The Canopy Hotel – Portland, Maine
Jam-packed with restaurants, distilleries and breweries, there will always be something to entertain your taste buds. Portland is home to amazing shopping and serves as a central location for fun day trips. Freeport, just a 20 minute drive north, is home to a 24 hour LL bean, state parks, and outlet shopping. I loved staying at the new canopy hotel on the waterfront – the location was perfect, the ambience was inviting, and the drinks at the hotel bar were divine (literally – man of the drinks are goddess themed).
