Nestled in the Laurentian mountain range, Mont Tremblant is the winter oasis you wrote about in your instagram dream journal. At the base of this epic ski resort, you will find a village filled with cobblestone streets and vibrant facades. This pedestrian village is packed with boutique shopping, signature snacks and unexpected extras (laser tag, what?!). It is no wonder that Mont Tremblant boasts the title of best ski resort from multiple publications.
We trekked up to Mont Tremblant to ski, spend time with friends, and get the most out of ski pass. However, it turned into one of the most exciting and relaxing vacations I’ve taken in quite some time. Renting a ski in/skin out chateau nestled along one of the trail networks on the mountain, I’ve never felt so spoiled in my life. After a day on the slopes, we could ski home to change into more apres chic attire OR just unclip right at the mountains base and explore via ski boot. While we usually opted for the latter, it felt incredibly luxurious to ditch the car and wander this pedestrian only village.
Following the road of powder covered cobblestone, we found our way into boutiques, bars, and one of the best dinners of my life. This village really knows how to party – you’ll find people dancing in their ski boots long after the sun went down.
If you like this guide or are looking for other places to ski I recommend this guide:
What to do in Mont Tremblant
Grab a lift ticket and hit the slopes: Mont Tremblant is not only home to a mountain filled with breath taking views, it also offers lessons so that all can enjoy the piste.
Wander the pedestrian village: Ditch the car and enjoy a day in the shops located right off the lift.
Enjoy the water park: The mountain resort is home to a water park that the kids can enjoy.
Dog sledding: check this one off the bucket list and charter a private dog sled tour.
Ice Skating: hit the fully lit the outdoor skating rink right in town
Panoramic Gondola tour: More of a ski bunny than a skiier? Enjoy the the view in a gondola tour.
Laser Tag: I was pretty disappointed we didn’t try this one!
Where to Après-ski
Le P’tit Caribou: Known for its legendary après-ski scene, le P’tit Caribou is also the place for nighttime ruckus.
Microbrasserie La Diable: grab a craft beer brewed on site at the mountain’s favorite pub
Where to Eat
La Cafe Pazzo: We loved the decadent pasta dishes offered here! Probably our best meal of the trip.
La Pizzateria: The pizza wasn’t the best, but they offer late night take out which is essential when after hitting the bars.
Where to Stay
Rent a ski on/ski off house (Vrbo/Airbnb)
We loved this option because all of our friends were able to be together in the evenings. It made it so easy to have our own schedules, but also be together. Another great feature of renting is a full kitchen as well as amenities like a hot tub.
There are also a variety of hotels and rentals available in the area.
